GE Gerages
GE Garages was first launched in 2012 at SXSW as a program to reinvigorate public's interest in invention, innovation, and manufacturing. Equipped with the latest laser cutters, 3D printers, injection molders, cnc mills, and other manufacturing tools, visitors are invited to participate in talks, hands-on workshops, and public works projects. For this project, I developed a series of workshops visitors could take to build a IoT-connected device, 3d print data visualizations based on their social media data, and more. Collaborators include TechShop, Skillshare, Quirky, littleBits, MakerBot, Inventables, Autodesk, and more. These workshops were permanently incorporated into future GE Garages across the world.
