Livestream Video JOURNALISM

At the New York Times R&D Lab, we explored how emerging technologies are enabling new possibilities for live video — from new ways to capture content to creating original video streaming experiences for readers. Three of these investigations involved building tools for journalists to annotate and report on real-time video feeds, visualizing live reporting on top of live feeds, and using machine learning to detect objects and people in videos.
